The short version
Dusk doesn't collect, share or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking, no analytics and no third-party SDKs, and Dusk makes no network connections of its own.
Location
If you choose the sunset-to-sunrise schedule and allow location access, Dusk asks macOS for your approximate location to work out local sunset and sunrise times. The calculation happens on your Mac. Your coordinates are saved only in Dusk's settings on your Mac and are never sent to Quinde Studio or anyone else.
You don't have to share your location: you can type in coordinates, set your own hours, or switch Dusk on by hand. You can turn off location access at any time in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
What Dusk stores
Your settings, such as warmth, dimming, schedule and shortcut, are stored on your Mac in Dusk's own preferences. Deleting Dusk removes them.
What Apple handles
Location Services is provided by macOS, and Apple's own privacy terms apply to it. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your Mac's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. We can't identify you from them.
If you email us, we use your address only to reply, and we delete the conversation if you ask.
Children
Because Dusk doesn't collect personal information, it doesn't collect it from children.
Your rights
We hold no personal data about you from Dusk, so there is nothing to access or delete. For emails you've sent us, write to privacy@quindestudio.com and we'll help.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and say what changed.
